Pune: Don’t believe rumours regarding oxygen supply, trust the administration, urges PCMC Commissioner Rajesh Patil

Pimpri-Chinchwad, April 21, 2021: Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil on Wednesday informed regarding the status of oxygen supply in the city in a video and appealed to the citizens to stay away from rumours and keep their trust in the administration.  

“As COVID-19 cases have increased rapidly in the city, the demand for oxygen to treat patients has increased. There is a shortage of oxygen supply everywhere due to which there were few issues at the hospitals. However, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pune district collector, and divisional commissioner are taking proactive steps to ensure a smooth supply of oxygen throughout the city. A team has been formed to closely monitoring oxygen supply across the city. The team is in contact will all hospitals in the city, ” the commissioner said in the video.

“Officers have been appointed at oxygen plants in the district. They will look after the oxygen supply to all hospitals and check that all the cylinders are filled properly,” he added.

 

“The administration is taking steps to solve all the problems related to oxygen supply. Citizens should not get panic and follow all the safety protocols to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Whether it is wearing, masks and social distancing or following proper lockdown protocols, all citizens should follow all the guidelines,” the commissioner urged.
