Pune: Minor Girl Raped By Youth She Met On Instagram
Pune, 15th April 2021: The mother of a minor girl has lodged a complaint with Pune police stating that the girl was raped by a youth with whom she had got acquainted through the social media site Instagram. The incident took place in Katraj.
Based on the complaint, Bibvewadi police station has booked the accused Akshay Sable, a resident of Duttnagar, Katraj.
According to the police, the victim and the accused Akshay came into contact on Instagram. After becoming friends, they were constantly talking to each other. Through the dialogue, the accused acquired the confidence of the minor girl.
On Tuesday (April 13) afternoon, the accused broke into the girl’s house after gaining the confidence that no one was there. Seeing the girl alone, he raped her. The accused fled after the incident.
When the victim’s mother came home, she told her all that had happened. Subsequently, the case was registered on the complaint filed by the victim’s mother.
