Pune Sizzles Around 40 Degree Celsius, Temperature In Maharashtra On The Rise

Pune, 30 March 2021: Vidarbha and Marathwada region along with the coastal region including Mumbai, Konkan and Goa saw a rise in the temperature.

According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the clear skies and dry weather led to an increase in the temperature.

The highest maximum temperature was 42.4 degree Celsius at Chandrapur in Vidarbha while a minimum of 18.1 degree Celsius was recorded at Pune. Meanwhile, on Monday, Pune recorded 39.3 degree Celsius while a minimum of 19 degree Celsius.

IMD has predicted that the temperature will remain maximum of 39 degree Celsius and a minimum of 19 degree Celsius in Pune on Tuesday.

Slight rise in temperature across Maharashtra

As predicted by IMD on Saturday, there would be a slight rise in temperature across the state with heat-wave conditions in the coastal region.

IMD has predicted that the temperature will continue to remain high in coastal areas till the first week of April.

Head of Weather Forecast Anupam Kashyapi said, “The rainfall activity will be meagre while Konkan and Goa will continue to record more than normal temperatures while the rest of the State will have an average temperature.”
