Pune, 16th March 2021: Pune Police has warned that strict action will be taken against those who will violate the night curfew rules. Apparently, considering the rising number of Covid-19 cases, the district administration had imposed a night curfew till March 31, 2021.

Taking cue from it, joint commissioner of Pune Police Ravindra Shisve warned that strict action will be taken against those who will not follow the night curfew guidelines.

As per the guidelines residents are not allowed to travel between 11 pm to 6 am without any emergency. However, those who are engaged in essential services have been exempted besides those working in shifts. The employees have to carry their identity card with them.

FIRs will be registered against curfew breakers for offences under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Epidemic Diseases Act.

“If any person is found wandering without any reason, strict action will be taken against that person by the police. People are requested to follow the curfew guidelines seriously,” said Shisve.
