Pune: Nexa Showroom Relationship Manager Booked For Cheating By Accepting Car Booking Amount In Own Account

Baner, 13th March 2021: An FIR has been registered against a relationship manager of Nexa Showroom located on the Pune-Bengaluru highway in Baner for allegedly cheating the company to the tune of Rs 12.46 lakh by accepting car booking amounts in his own account.
Hinjawadi police station under Pimpri Chinchwad police has booked Avinash Hanmant Desai (27), a native of Kolhapur district, for offences under section 408 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 465, 467, 468, 469, 471 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
According to police, the incident took place between August 2020 to February 8 this year. The accused used to offer heavy discount on Maruti Suzuki cars and also help them get the vehicles soon jumping the waiting list. He used to accept booking amount and other charges on his Google Pay account and give forged receipts to customers. He has cheated the showroom and customers to the tune of Rs 12.46 lakh.
