Pune ranks second in the country in the number of Covid-19 patients
Pune, 1 March 2021: Pune has surpassed Bangalore and ranked second in the country for having the highest number of Covid-19 cases. Delhi is currently number one in the number of Covid-19 cases.
On Friday, the city recorded 4.6 lakh cases followed by Bangalore which recorded 4.4 lakhs while Delhi recorded 6.38 lakh cases. In the last six days, the Pune district has recorded over 1,000 cases of Corona positive. This has been the highest number of cases across the country.
Meanwhile, the State of Punjab too is showing a rising graph of the number of Corona cases. It recorded more than 500 cases in less than a week’s time. Punjab had 2,500 cases when the Covid-19 pandemic was at its peak, however, on Friday the number rose to 622 making it highest after a gap of over a month.
