Pune: Man Arrested For Selling Sambar Horns At Taljai forest

Pune, February 10, 2021: Dattawadi police station officials have arrested a man for selling sambar horns in the Taljai forest area. The arrested accused was in possession of sambar horns.

The arrested accused have been identified as Chandra Dansing Awaji (19), a resident of Anna Bhau Sathe Vasahat in Sahakar Nagar. Police constables Kundan Shinde, Amit Surve, and Sharad Raut received a tip-off that sambar horns were being sold at Taljai forest.

Accordingly, a team of police officials along with forest ranger Bhaskar Godge reached the spot. The accused was caught with the horns.

An FIR has been registered under the Indian Wildlife Conservation Act. The police are investigating the case further.
