Pune, February 6, 2021:  Students have raised the new demands for the online exam after the minister for higher and technical education, Uday Samant, announced the recommencement of college and university on Wednesday. Students have raised the demands on the various online platforms.

Students have demanded that the examination should be held in a multiple-choice format. Students have cited that they were prepared for the online examination, and now they are not equipped to appear in the offline examination. Many students have also raised traveling issues and restrictions in offline classes due to COVID-19.

However, the authorities had said that no decision has been taken on this issue yet. The meeting will be held in a couple of days, and further decisions will be taken regarding the matter.

In the press conference held on Wednesday, Samant said that Universities and colleges could resume their classes with fifty percent attendance. He had also clarified that the respective Universities would decide on the examination mode. Hostels in many colleges and universities won’t be opened as they are still being used for quarantine facilities.
