Pimpri-Chinchwad Mayor Usha Dhore To Get Luxury Car Worth Rs 20 Lakh

Pimpri-Chinchwad, February 4, 2021: Pimpri-Chinchwad Mayor Usha Dhore will be buying a luxury car directly from Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. The Standing Committee approved the expenditure of Rs 20 lakhs for this purpose.

Mayor Dhore’s vehicle has become old as during the coronavirus pandemic the use of the vehicle was more. So a new car is going to be bought for her. The mayor is authorised to buy the right vehicle at a limited price. The state government’s finance department has made rules in this regard. Accordingly, the price limit for cars purchased for mayors has been fixed at Rs 20 lakh.

She has to buy a vehicle at a government rate of Rs 20 lakh from Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. without a direct contract. The proposal, which was approved by the Standing Committee, said that more facilities should be provided by the vehicle manufacturing company and the actual cost of transportation should be approved.
