Pune: Woman Loots Two Men After Luring Them On Dating App

Pune, January 28, 2021: A young woman after befriending men on an online dating app invited them to meet in person and looted them by making them unconscious using the sedatives. The incident took place in the Kharadi area.
Two cases have been registered in this regard at Chandannagar police station. Pimpri-Chinchwad police have arrested the woman involved in the crime.
A 24-year-old youth from Shirodhon in Sangli district has lodged a complaint in this regard. The complainant is studying for a competitive exam. He was introduced to the accused girl through an online dating app. After the conversation, the two shared each other’s mobile numbers. One day the young woman told him she wanted to drink alcohol.
They booked a room at a lodge in Kharadi on 3rd January. Upon arriving at the lodge, the accused girl consumed the liquor she had brought; while, the young man was given a drink laced with sedatives. After the youth fainted, a gold chain and a mobile phone, in total good worth Rs 1 lakh were stolen from him.
After the young man regained consciousness around 10 pm, he realised that he had been looted. He felt that it would be a disgrace if he discloses it to anyone. So he did not lodge a complaint with the police at that time. However, he has lodged a complaint after a similar incident was reported.
Another 33-year-old man from Shrirampur has lodged a complaint. The man was also introduced to the girl through an online dating app. He was then called by the young woman to meet him at a lodge in Kharadi. On the evening of November 11, the two arrived at the lodge.
She gave him a sedative laced soft drink. After drinking it, the complainant fell unconscious. The girl then snatched a gold chain worth Rs 45,000. After he woke up from the unconscious state around 8.30 pm he noticed that the gold chain and the woman were missing.
