Girl Kidnapped At Gunpoint From Office, Chinchwad Police Rescue Her In 6 Hours

Chinchwad, January 20, 2021: In Pimpri-Chinchwad, a young woman was abducted from her office at gunpoint due to a love affair. Within six hours, the Chinchwad police released the girl from the accused boyfriend after a tireless effort.
The accused has been identified as Shantanu Chinchwade (25). The abducted girl and accused Shantanu were in a relationship a few months back. However, the young woman had broken up with him. Police said he had abducted the girl in anger.
According to police, the girl works as an interior designer. The accused Shantanu went to her office around 11.30 am on Tuesday and abducted the girl after threatening with a pistol. The young woman shouted for help. However, neither the office staff nor others came to her rescue.
The office staff called the girl’s father and informed him about the incident and he immediately rushed to the police station. The Chinchwad police started an investigation without wasting time. It was learned that the accused was in the Talegaon area. Police rescued the girl within six hours.
The accused has been arrested in the case and further investigation is underway. This action has been taken by the team of Crime Police Inspector Vishwajit Khule under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Sudhakar Kate.
