AUSvIND: Ashwin-Vihari snatches match from Australia, poses as ‘wall’, Sydney Test draws

Pune, January 11, 2021: The third match of the four-match Test series between India and Australia ended on a draw in Sydney. Chasing a target of 407 runs, the Indian team scored 334 runs, losing 5 wickets in the second innings. Hanuma Vihari (23) and Ravichandran Ashwin remained unbeaten on 39 for the team.

Earlier, Australia set a target of 407 runs to win against India, declaring their second innings at 312/6. Team India was all out after scoring 244 runs in the first innings, while Australia scored 338 runs in their first innings. Australian team captain Tim Paine won the toss in this match and decided to bat first.

The four-match series is currently 1–1 on par and the fourth Test will be played in Brisbane from 15 January onwards.
