Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Distributes Smartwatches, Sports Bicycles To Pimpri-Chinchwad Police

Pimpri, January 8, 2021: Maharashtra Police has a bright tradition of sacrifice and bravery. While performing their duties, the police should pay attention to their fitness and work for the safety of the citizens said Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar today. He assured that the state government would extend all necessary cooperation to make Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate a quality police commissionerate in the state.
Pawar distributed ‘Health-365’ Smart Vital Belt and Sports Bicycle to the police personnel of Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate at Ramkrishna More Hall, Chinchwad. Also, the members of the village security guards were given identity cards by the Deputy Chief Minister.
Pimpri-Chinchwad Mayor Usha Dhore, MLA Sunil Shelke, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, Commissioner of Police Krishna Prakash, Additional Commissioner of Police Ramnath Pokale and Chief Executive Officer of GOQIii Vishal Gondal were present on the occasion.
Pawar said that the state police force has a tradition of bravery and sacrifice. Martyr Tukaram Omble did his duty regardless of his own life in the 26/11 terror attacks on Mumbai. Every policeman should do his duty, remembering his sacrifice. During the ‘Corona’ period, the police have served well by taking risks. The performance of the police during this period will be recorded in history.
Appreciating the responsibility of the police during the Corona period, the Deputy CM said that the police should stay healthy by getting a balanced diet, adequate sleep and regular exercise. The initiative of the Commissioner of Police to provide smartwatches and sports bicycles to the police is commendable and it will improve the health of the police force.
“The state government is in the process of filling up vacancies in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and other police units. Police officers and personnel are being provided quality accommodation, necessary vehicles and other facilities. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner’s Office will be assisted by the state government to become a quality police commissionerate in the state. Necessary space, facilities, manpower, equipment will be provided for strengthening Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Apart from this, necessary help will also be provided for various police stations under the Commissionerate. The police should work to create trust in the minds of every citizen who comes to the police station. The police should be careful to create an environment where girls, women, any other citizen can live safely in any area”, Pawar said.
Commissioner of Police Krishna Prakash informed about the various initiatives being implemented to take care of the health of the police personnel.
