Pakistani Fan Asks Akhtar ‘What Would You Say About Dhoni?; His Reply Wins Netizens

Pune, January 4, 2021: Former Pakistan bowler Shoaib Akhtar is known to be very vocal on his views of Team India and Indian cricketers. On Twitter, Akhtar answered many questions from fans during the #AskShoaibAkhtar session– also gave his opinion on some of the legendary cricketers of Team India. When a Pakistani fan asked Akhtar about Dhoni and Akhtar’s views pleased many cricket fans.

 

The fan tagged Akhtar in the following tweet: What would you say about MS Dhoni? To this, Akhtar wrote, “This is the name of an entire era.” Dhoni, one of the former captains of the Indian cricket team and amongst the best wicket-keeper batsmen in the world, is also considered among the most successful captains in the world. Dhoni played for Team India from 2004 to 2019. On August 15, 2020, he retired from international cricket.

 

Dhoni is the only captain in the world under whose captaincy the Indian cricket team has won three ICC trophies. Under Dhoni’s captainship, India won the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup, and 2013 Champion’s Trophy. Dhoni led Team India into becoming No.1 in the Test. He played his last international match in July 2019, which was also the semi-final match of the 2019 World Cup. India has to face defeat in the semifinals against New Zealand. Dhoni is considered one of the best finishers in the world. He has scored 10,773 runs in the ODIs at an average of 50.56. Apart from this, he has 4876 Tests and 1617 T20 International runs in his account. Dhoni has a total of 16 international centuries, apart from 108 half-centuries in his account.
