Waiter Booked For Stealing Rs 94,500 By Cloning Debit Card Data Of Customers

Bhosari, January 4, 2021: A waiter committed financial fraud of Rs 94,500 by cloning a debit card data from the customers who had come to the hotel for dining. The incident took place at Madhuban Bar and Restaurant at Landewadi Chowk Bhosari in December.

Umesh Devidas Anvekar (35), a resident of Pimple Gurav, has lodged a complaint at Bhosari Police Station. Police have filed a case against the unidentified waiter. The incident took place between 4 and 15 December 2020. The complainant Anvekar had gone to Madhuban Hotel at Landewadi Chowk for lunch. After the meal, the complainant handed over the debit card to pay the bill. An unidentified waiter took the debit cards of the complainant and other customers and cloned the data.

By cloning the data, an unidentified waiter stole Rs 50,000 from the complainant’s account, Rs 25,000 from Balasaheb Ganapatrao Najan’s account and Rs 19,500 from Pravin Bapu Sonar’s account
