Night curfew in Pimpri Chinchwad Till January 5; The Movement Of Only Essential And Exempted Categories Permissible

Pimpri, December 23, 2020: With the new strain of COVID-19 being found in the UK, the Maharashtra state government has issued new directives and a night curfew has been imposed in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.

 

Pimpri Chinchwad police commissioner Krishna Prakash has ordered a night curfew in Pimpri Chinchwad from December 22 to January 5. No movement is allowed between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am except essential and exempted category services.

 

Prakash in his order states that the state government on November 27, 2020, has issued guidelines for extending the lockdown period till December 31, 2020. The state has also directed to impose additional restrictions within the municipal corporation limits.

 

The top cop has ordered a night curfew from December 22 till January 5 between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am. The people who violate these orders will be liable for action under provisions of section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, Epidemics Act 1897 and the prevailing laws.
