Pune: Rs 18 Lakh Jewellery Stolen From BJP MLA Madhuri Misal’s House

Pune, December 12, 2020: A burglary took place at the house of BJP leader Madhuri Misal, MLA of Parvati Constituency, in which gold jewellery worth 18 lakh was stolen. Mamata Deepak Misal has filed a complaint in this regard at Wanwadi Police station.

According to police, the complainant Mamta Misal, her husband Deepak, children and sister-in-law Madhuri stayed together at Wanwadi. The bungalow has seven female workers. Some of these women clean Mamata’s bedroom regularly.

On November 28, Mamata went to take the box of gold jewellery kept in the locker as she had to attend a wedding. But she did not find the box there. The box contained a Rs 14 lakh necklace encrusted with gold diamonds and a Rs 4 lakh bracelet encrusted with gold, diamonds and pearls. Total jewellery worth Rs 18 lakh was stolen. A case has been registered against an unidentified person at Wanwadi police station.
