Maharashtra: Digital 7/12 Extract Is Legal Now
Pune, December 7, 2020: The digital 7/12 extract with the digital signature of the person(s) will now be a legally valid document. This document will be considered valid for any government or private work, stated a notification issued by the state government.
The new notification was issued after the complaints were received that few of the chit fund banks, cooperative banks were denying to accept it.
Nearly, 1.67 crore digital 7/12 extract with digital signatures are made available by the Land Records department. The department also has made an arrangement to pay the fees for taking the print of the extract.
Adapting the digital way of life, the land records department had started giving the digital 7/12 extract with the digital signature. The extracts are available on www.mahabhumi.gov.in website.
