Pune, November 26, 2020: The All India Petroleum Dealers Association (AIPDA) has demanded inclusion of petrol pump staff in the essential worker or frontline worker category while also demanding their inclusion in the list of people who would be eligible to get the COVID19 vaccine first.

Yesterday, the office bearers of AIPDA held a meeting via video conferencing with Navneet Kothari, Joint Secretary (Marketing), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOPNG).

AIPDA spokesperson Ali Daruwala said, “The Joint Secretary assured us about an increase in dealers margin soon. He also assured about the starting of oil industry meetings with AIPDA to sort out various other issues related to oil marketing companies.”

He further added, “We had requested for vaccination of our staff and dealers in the 1st phase as “Frontline Covid Workers” to which he appreciated that we have served the nation throughout the lockdown amid Covid pandemic. He assured that the ministry would recommend for our inclusion for vaccination on priority to Health Ministry.”
