NAREDCO Commences Pune Chapter, Rajendra Pate Is Its First President
Pune, November 24, 2020: National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) announced the Launch of its Pune operations recently and Shri Rajendra Pate (WANI) as the Pune chapter President. The function was held virtually in the presence of Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon. Minister (MoS), Housing & Urban Affairs, Govt. of India and Dr. Jitendra Awhad, Hon. Cabinet Minister of Housing, Govt. of India, amongst other dignitaries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon Minister (MoS), congratulated the Maharashtra Government for lowering the stamp duty to 50% and hoped for other states to follow.
Dr. Jitendra Awhad, Hon, Cabiner Minster of Housing, GOI emphasized the importance of the Real Estate Industry which is the largest employment generating sector for rebooting the economy after Covid-19. He assured his support and help to NAREDCO.

Speaking at the Installation ceremony, Shri Rajendra Pate (WANI), President NAREDCO Pune chapter said, “The vision and aim of NAREDCO Pune is to act as a catalyst in bringing about growth and development of the Indian Real Estate Industry and to participate in the formulation of National policies and agenda for the real estate development and fiscal reforms. I will personally oversee that growth is achieved in the real estate sector especially after the pandemic which has shattered lots of livelihoods and businesses. “
NAREDCO has convinced the coalition government in Maharashtra for the Stamp Duty benefits for a short period of time to boost sales in the Industry and the benefits to be passed on to the buyers. The Maharashtra State has given this benefit to all homebuyers till March 2021. NAREDCO members took this forward by zero stamp duty schemes throughout Maharashtra bearing balance 50% stamp duty. In addition to the above NAREDCO Pune is following up with the Central and State government for a Pune Ring road which will help ease traffic conditions and create satellite towns.
