Pune: Number Of Corona Cases Fall, Death Rate Increases
Pune, October 12, 2020: The graph of the number of cases which has risen exponentially in September to 30.46% has come down in October to 14.5%.
When the graph of Corona cases came down, it received criticism from all quarters of the society saying it was due to less number of testing. But the week wise graph during September 13 to 19 showed that there were 10,424 patients among 34220 tests that were conducted.
During September 27 to October 3, the graph fell to seven percent. However, the week from October 4 to 10 among the 25562 tests only 4,201 patients were positive. It means the rate of infection drastically fell, bringing it to half the numbers in September. Similarly, the death rate in September was 2.43 percent, but slightly rose in October to 3. 84 percent.
