Pune: Robbers Loot Money through Google Pay

Pune, October 10, 2020: A shocking case has come to light where a person was stopped in Chavan Baug area of Dhayari and was forced to transfer money via Google Pay. A case of robbery has been registered at Sinhgad Road police station.

Ketan Patil (32) has registered a complaint against three persons who were riding a two-wheeler. Complainant is working and is staying at DSK Vishwa. He was on his way to meet a friend in Nanded City on October 6 at around 7.30 pm. On the DSK Vishwa to Nanded Phata road, a two-wheeler was parked horizontally in the middle of the road at a distance of one kilometre from Chavan Bagh Corner. After Patil reached the spot, robbers stopped his car. At that time, the three accused approached him and forcibly grabbed his car keys.

The trio demanded money from Patil, threatening to break his car. As the complainant did not have money, the accused asked him to send money from Google Pay. Patil was forced to send Rs 3,000 from Google Pay to a number. After receiving the money, they returned the car keys to Patil and fled from the spot.

Patil then registered a complaint in the police station on Thursday. A case has been registered against three unidentified persons. Assistant Inspector Satish Umre is investigating the matter further.
