Kondhwa: PMC Cancels Private Hospital’s COVID Treatment License For Overcharging

Pune, October 4, 2020: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has cancelled the COVID treatment license of Sana hospital after the hospital management ignored the notice given by PMC regarding overcharging the Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patient.

PMC has warned the hospital to cancel the hospital license if it failed to reply to the notice. PMC has been receiving complaints regarding overcharging by private hospitals. PMC received three complaints against Sana hospital. PMC assistant medical chief Dr Manisha Naik had recommended to take the action against Sana hospital after getting the complaints.

Additional municipal corporation Rubal Agarwal has directed to take action against the hospitals who are overcharging patients for COVID treatment.
