Pune, September 9, 2020: Lonikand police under Pune rural police have put two persons behind the bar after they were found selling the fake gold rings. The police have seized material worth Rs 3.5 lakh including 16 rings, hallmark marker, jewellery making machine among other.
Pankaj Tak (37) resident of Pimpri and Billal alias Firdaus Shaikh (31) of Chinchwad were arrested by the police. Police took action after Pravin Gaikwad lodged a complaint with them. It happened so that Pravin, resident of Ambegaon Budruk went to sell a gold ring worth Rs 27,000 at Pernephata at a jewelry shop when the shop owner told him that the ring was gold plated and was made up of silver and other metals.
Police have appealed to contact them who have been cheated in the similar manner.
