Pune City: 1627 New COVID Cases, 43 Deaths Reported Today
Pune, September 02, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1408 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1627 new patients were detected while 43 people died today. Today swab samples of 6215 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 98,695 out of which 80,897 have been cured while 2375 have died. There are still 15,423 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 1040 critical patients out of which 530 are on ventilator support.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,769,523 across the country. Out of this, 2,901,908 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 66,333 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 801,282 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
