PCMC: 232 new COVID patients, six deaths in a day in Pimpri Chinchwad

Pimpri, July 4, 2020: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that there 232 new COVID19 patients in PCMC areas on Friday (July 3) till 6.30 pm. Also, six people died while 79 got discharged from hospitals yesterday.

The deceased patients included two women and four men, all were between 60 to 80 year age group. They were from Mohan Nagar in Chinchwad, Bhimnagar in Pimpri, Chinchwadenagar, River Road in Pimpri, Sainagar in Mamurdi and Nigdi. One person from Dehuroad also died.

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3776 out of which 2233 have been cured while 53 have died. 1482 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 93 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC. Till now 32 non-PCMC residents have died while 196 have been cured.

Yesterday across Maharashtra, a total of 3515 patients were discharged while 6364 new Covid-19 cases were reported. 198 deaths due to Coronavirus were reported in the state, out of these, 150 deaths occurred in the last 48 hours and rest 48 are from the previous period. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 1,92,990 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 6,25,544 across the country. Out of this, 379,891 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 18,213 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 227,439 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
