Pune: 725 new Corona patients in Pune district, 560 cases in PMC

Pune, June 26 2020: With the addition of 725 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 18,240 in Pune district. Also, 288 patients got discharged from hospitals while 16 people died.

 

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 18,240 patients 10,889 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 655 people have died. There are still 6696 active patients undergoing treatment including 365 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 148,578 people have been tested in the district.

 

 

The 18,240 patients include 14,320 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 2427 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 521 from Pune Cantonment, 151 from Khadki Cantonment, 10 from Dehuroad Cantonment and 811 from Pune rural areas. In the Pune rural areas, there are 11 from Baramati town, 16 from Baramati rural, 96 from Daund town, 1 from Jejuri, 19 from Talegaon Dabhade, 8 from Chakan, 18 from Saswad, 2 from Alandi, 3 from Lonavala,1 from Shirur town, 1 from Junnar town,  13 from Indapur town, 2 from Bhor town, 2 from Vadgaon, 1 from Rajguru Nagar, 256 from Haveli, 27 from Shirur, 46 from Junnar rural, 47 from Khed, 41 from Mulshi, 35 from Velha, 17 from Bhor, 8 from Indapur rural, 29 from Daund rural, 44 from Maval, 16 from Purandar and 51 from Ambegaon.

 

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 4841 new COVID19 cases yesterday taking the total number of cases to 147741. Also, 192 people died while 3661 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 63,342 active cases. Till now 77,453 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate in the state is 52.42 %.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 490,401 across the country. Out of this, 285,636 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 15,301 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 189,463 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
