Shocking : 620 fresh COVID patients detected in Pune city today, 171 discharged
Pune, June 21, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 171 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 620 new patients were detected while 6 patients died. Today swab samples of 308 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 12,474 out of which 7435 have been cured while 510 have died. There are still 4529 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 290 critical patients out of which 60 are on ventilator support. Till now 87,179 people have been tested in Pune city.
Among the 6 deaths, two were men and four women, all between the age group of 55 to 83 years. They were from Katraj, Parvati Darshan, Indira Nagar Bibvewadi, Budhwar Peth, Shukrwar Peth, and Kondhwa.
Across Maharashtra, there were 3870 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 132,075 . Also, 101, people died while 1591 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 60,147 active cases. The total death toll stands at 6170, while 65,744 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 410,461 across the country. Out of this, 227,755 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 13,254 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 169,451 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
