Transportation of cars from Pune division of CR to Southern India via Railways

Pune, 13 June 2020: The Pune Railway Division is continuously transporting various types of goods including sugar, oil products etc. to various parts of the country. Cars have also been transported by Pune Division towards Northern parts of India. But now, Pune Division has started loading of cars from Chinchwad to Southern parts of India “after long time”



The Transport Corporation of India has chosen to send its product via rail to Ernakulam, showing special interest in this direction, considering the logistics of the railways for quick transportation, economical rates, safe operations etc. For the first time 125 cars have been sent to Ernakulam by loading from Pune Division in the first batch. Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager, Renu Sharma and with the active efforts of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Sunil Mishra, the work of sending cars through rail has been taken up in collaboration with Transport Corporation of India through better marketing. In future, consignments of cars will be sent to Southern parts of India through railways.
