Pune: Now hotels, restaurants to open in Camp area for take away orders

Pune, June 9, 2020: In a major decision amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) has allowed take away orders (parcel) from hotels, restaurants, sweet marts, sweet shops on all days in non-containment zones only. The timings for the same will be 9 am to 8 pm with only take away facility. However, night curfew i.e. from 9 pm to 5 am shall be strictly enforced, states an order by PCB CEO Amit Kumar.

The order was passed in compliance with the Government of Maharashtra guidelines for lifting of the lockdown in stages and relaxing of restrictions. Amit Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Pune Cantonment Board and Incident Commander of Pune Cantonment area, has got the powers under the Epidemic Disease Act, 1897, to pass revised orders for implementation. Pune Cantonment area includes Camp, Wanowrie Bazaar, Fatimanagar and Ghorpadi.

The Micro Containment Zones / Containment Zones in the Pune Cantonment are
(i) Entire portion of Gawali Wada, Bootee Street – From the junction of DM Road up to Bachhu Adda (Upto Synagogue Street)
(ii) Bhimpura Area – From Lane No. 1 to 21 from the junction of V P Street and Jan Mohd Street up to Bhople Chowk, Bhople Chowk to Babajan Chowk, Babajan Chowk up to the junction of V P Street along Jan Mohd Street.
(iii) From House No. 48 M G Road up to H No. 60 M G Road, H No. 400 up to H No. 414 V P Street, and 1153 to 1156 Saifee Street.
(iv) The entire area of New Modikhana – H No. 2390, Opp. Abaji Maidan & Dhobi Ghat quarters, Opp. Poona College, Hidayatullah Road. From Pundol Apartments to Try Luck Chowk, Try Luck Chowk to H No. 2158, New Modikhana along the boundary of PMC and PCB.
(v) Sholapur Bazar – House No. 15 to 29 Sholapur Bazar.
(vi) St. Vincent Street – H No. 1993 to 1998 St. Vincent Street.
(vii) Sachapir Street – H. No. 572 to 584 and area surrounding Shivaji market.
(viii) Part of Jan Mohd Street from V P Street up to Sunrise Bakery (2064, 2064-A to 2065, Jan Mohd Street).

Penalty: Non-wearing of the mask would attract a fine of Rs 100 per offence. Spitting in public places will attract a fine of Rs 500 per offence. Shopkeepers/vendors shall be penalized for non-maintenance of social distancing Rs 1,000 for the first offence, Rs 2,000 for the second offence, Rs 3,000 for the third offence and forceful closure of shop for the fourth offence. The Patrolling team of Police and Cantonment Board till further orders by the Incident Commander / CEO is authorized to shut down the shop/business establishment if they are found violating the norms of social distancing and / any of the above violations.
