275 fresh COVID patients detected in Pune city today, 259 discharged
Pune, June 6, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 259 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 275 new patients were detected while three patients died. Today swab samples of 1649 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 7722 out of which 4934 have been cured while 372 have died. There are still 2413 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 195 critical patients out of which 49 are on ventilator support. Till now 58,455 people have been tested in Pune city.
Among the three deaths, 2 were women aged 68 and 72 years and one 42-year-old man. They were residents of Navi Khadki in Yerwada, Juni Wadarwadi and Shramiknagar in Mangalwar Peth. Three more patients died during treatment in Pune and they were residents of Jalgaon, Latur and Baramati.
