Pune, June 2, 2020: Regional Transport Office (RTO), Pune, has given licences for 16,049 heavy vehicles for essential services since lockdown 1. The services were availed by heavy vehicles after the government had allowed movement of these vehicles for essential services.

Deputy RTO Sanjeev Bhor said that the licences were issued after an online application process. The issue of permissions will be continued until the next government decision. There has been no delay in issuing a licence/permit after applying online.

Due to lockdown, the vehicles were not allowed to move from one city to another without a permit. The applicants only have to apply online on transport.maharashtra.gov.in website. E-passes will be given only for goods transport. Pune RTO has also appealed to the applicants to call on 020-26058090 or email to rto[email protected]  for further enquiry.
