Pune: Cloudy weather throughout the week after Thursday’s rain

Pune, May 15, 2020: Heavy rains with thunderstorms lashed most parts of the city on Thursday evening. In some areas, the branches of trees fell on the roads due to strong winds. The central part of Pune city was once again hit by heavy rain. The meteorological department has forecast cloudy weather in Pune city for the next week.

After a two-day break, cloudy weather prevailed in various parts of the city again on Thursday afternoon. It started raining within an hour. Rains lashed various parts like Lohgaon, Sinhagad area, Dhayari, Katraj, Shivne, Warje, Kothrud, Shivajinagar and others had been feeling the heat for the past two days.

According to the meteorological department, cloudy weather will prevail in the city and surrounding areas until next Wednesday (20th May). Also, the maximum temperature in the city will be close to average. The city recorded a maximum of 39 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 22.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
