164 New COVID Patients in Pune City, 120 Discharged from Hospitals
Pune, May 12, 2020: There was a massive jump in the number of Coronavirus positive patients in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) today with 164 new cases taking the total tally of patients to 2737. Seven people died because of Corona while 120 were discharged from hospitals after getting cured till 9 pm today.
According to PMC, since March 9 the total of patients have reached 2737 out of which 156 have lost their lives while 1209 patients have been cured till date. There are still 1372 active patients in hospitals including 107 critical patients. 25 of them are on ventilator support. Today swab samples of 989 persons were collected for testing.
The deceased patients include two women and four men, all of them were in the age group of 57 to 86 years. They were residents of Nana Peth (2), one each from Tadiwala Road, Bibvewadi and Malwadi in Hadapsar, one from Wadarwadi in Yerwada and one from Jai Jawan Nagar in Yerwada.
Meanwhile,1026 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra today. The state tally of COVID-19 positive patients is now 24,427. Death toll in Covid-19 patients has now gone up to 921 in the state.5125 patients have been discharged till date after full recovery.
