86 fresh Coronavirus cases today in Pune city, tally reaches 1518

Pune, April 30, 2020: A total of 86 new Coronavirus positive patients were detected in areas under Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) taking the total number of patients to 1518 out of which 88 have died till now, while 274 patients have been cured and discharged. Three deaths are of people from outside Pune city.

PMC officials said that today 44 patients were discharged after being cured while 7 patients died including two from out of PMC area. There are still 1159 active patients undergoing treatment including 70 critical patients. The number of Coronavirus COVID19 patients in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) areas reached 113 today after two new patients were detected today. According to health department officials, seven patients from Dapodi, Sambhajinagar and Bhosari were discharged after being cured. Till now five patients have died including two from Pune. A total of 42 patients have been cured and discharged.

583 new Covid-19 cases were reported today in Maharashtra taking the state tally to 10,498. Out of the 27 deaths today, 19 were men and 8 women. 14 of them aged over 60 years, 13 were from the age group 40 to 59 years. 22 out of 27 patients (81%) had high-risk co-morbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, etc. Death toll in Covid-19 patients has now gone up to 459 in the state.

Out of 1,45,798 laboratory samples, 1,34,244 were negative and 10,498 have been tested positive for coronavirus until today. As per the guidance from the Government of India, cluster containment action plan is being implemented in places where clusters of patients have been found in the state. There are 733 active containment zones in the state currently. Total 10,092 surveillance squads worked today across the state and surveillance of 42.11 lakh population was done. 1773 patients have been discharged till date after full recovery. Currently, 1,68,266 people are in-home quarantine and 10,695 people are in institutional quarantine.
