Nevis Pathe becomes city topper in NTSE (Stage-I) in Pune

Pune, March 2, 2020: Nevis Pathe, becomes city topper in Pune in the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Stage-I. He has also secured fifth rank in Maharashtra. The well-known national-level scholarship exam aims to identify and nurture talented students.

Congratulating Nevis, Mr Aakash Chaudhry, Director and CEO, Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), said, “We are proud that our student Nevis has secured the second position in the city. The NTSE scholarship is awarded to candidates pursuing courses in science and social science up to doctoral level and in professional courses like medicine and engineering up to second-degree level. So far 2,000 scholarships are awarded in the country with reservation of 15 per cent for SC, 7.5 per cent for ST, 27 per cent for Other Backward Classes and 4 per cent for students with benchmark disabilities. Identification of talent comprises a two-stage selection process. While the individual State/UT conducts the first stage selection, the second stage selection at the national level is carried out by the NCERT.
