SUB JUNIOR (U-13) TEAM FROM MAHARASHTRA WINS GOLD IN BASKETBALL WINS THE MAYOR’S CUP
Pune,7 September,2019: “The Subjunior ( Under 13 ) State Inter District Championship” was be held recently at Nagpur to select the Maharashtra State boys and girls teams for the forthcoming Subjunior National Championship at Cuttak from 3 – 9 Sept 2019 .

Pune 62 ( Aanaya Bhavsar 26 pts , Sara Chopade 10 pts , Janhavi Kakade 9 pts ) beat Nagpur 57 ( Sameeksha Chandak 18 , Gunjan Mantri 18 , Samruddhi Agarwal 9 )
- Quarter wise score : 12 -12 , 9 – 14 , 19 – 10 , 22 – 21.
Semi Finals Pune played Mumbai Central and in quarter finals they defeated Thane 28 – 09 .On the way to Q Finals Pune teams defeated Chandrapur 32 – 3 , Mumbai South West 61 – 33 , and Aurangabad .
This team had a 8 preparatory coaching camp at Sardar Dastur Nosherwan Girls School and Deccan Gymkhana Club . total 23 girls took part in this preparatory camp and final 12 players were short listed position wise .
The boys under 13 team Pune got 3 rd place .
