Pune #Ganeshotsav2019: Check traffic diversion on Tuesday, September 3
Pune, September 2, 2019 : The Pune city police traffic branch has issued traffic diversion advisory due to ongoing Ganeshotsav2019. People have been appealed to check the given website for information related to traffic diversion.
“All Punekars are advised to visithttp://PuneTrafWatch.com to see the live Ganpati Diversions for tomorrow (September 3, Tuesday) and all days till the Visarjan to plan their commute accordingly”, Pune traffic branch messaged.
According to traffic branch officials, the Peth areas are heavily crowded as lakhs people turn up to see various Ganesh mandals and plays there. The areas around Shaniwarwada, Shivaji Road, Bajirao Road, will be crowded.
On September 3 (Tuesday), Shivaji road will be closed for traffic between Lal Mahal chowk and Rameshwar chowk. Also the road stretch between Appa Balwant Chowk and Dagdusheth Ganpati temple chowk will also be closed. The Laxmi road will be closed for traffic between Sonya Maruti Chowk and Belbag chowk.
Police officials said that these changes are being done to minimise congestion caused by crowd and traffic in the city. Everyday traffic restrictions will be imposed across the Peth areas and some other places based on crowd in those areas.
