Jobs for Family members of soldiers who are martyred in the Naxalite attack – Deepak Kesarkar
Mumbai,21.June.19: “Financial help was given to the families of martyrs who were killed in Naxal attack in Gadchiroli district on May 1. Family members of the martyred will get the job soon. Police officer suspended in case of the attack. Modern technology will be used to stop such Naxal operations.” said Minister of State for Home, Deepak Kesarkar in the Legislative Council today.
He was replying a note laid by member Prakash Gajbhai about financial help to the families of martyred soldiers who dead Naxal attack in Kurkheda taluka of Gadchiroli on May 1.
Mr. Kesarkar further said that, the families of soldiers who were killed in Kurkheda Naxalite attack will get jobs soon. Total amount of Rs. 7,12,50,000 crore has been sanctioned to the beneficiaries of martyr jawans, out of that ex-gratia of 3.75 crore ( Rs.25 lacs per person) will be as financial help and ex-gratia of 3,37,50,000 (22.50 lakh per person) will be for their house building.
A sum of Rs. 3 crores ( 20 lakh per person) has been sanctioned for heritor of soldiers from the Central Reserve Fund. While Rs 3,07,50,000 (Rs. 20. 50 lakh for each heritor) has been sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Insurance amount of Rs. 1.50 crore (10 lakh each) is approved by government. Also, the Director General of Police has distributed Rs. 50,000 each heritor and Rs. 12000 from the Police Welfare Fund for the funeral, to the heirs of martyred family. If the martyr policeman is married, his wife will get the money and he was unmarried then his mother will get this financial help.
The modern communication system, vehicle system, and helicopters have been made available to the police forces with necessary weapons and ammunition to combat the naxalites in order to control Naxal operations. Anti-naxalisation campaign is being implemented through District Police and Central Reserve Police Force and security is provided to the citizens by carrying out Area Domination Action. Central Reserve Police Forces battalion, companies of Cobra battalion, companies of State Reserve Police Force and district police teams and C-60 have been deployed for anti-Naxal operations in the district. The network has been spread by creating a secretive cell. Arrangements have been made to provide training to the soldiers. Anti-naxal detection campaign and intelligencer base operation, night ambush, blockade have brought restrictions on Naxalism. Grambhet Yojana, Youth Meet, Sports Competition, People awareness meet, Health Camp, ITI training for unemployed youth, this type of public relations program is being implemented with the help of local people. Naxal recruitment is also affecting due to the surrender plan. Action is being taken to eliminate Naxalism from the district by development works with the consent of the citizens.
