7 May 2019 : PhonePe, India’s fastest growing payments platform today announced The Gold Utsav – a series of exciting offers on Gold purchase around the AkshayaTritiya festival. PhonePe had launched Gold on its platform two years back allowing customers to safely buy certified 24 Karat (K) Gold at affordable and transparent prices from the comfort of their homes, with purity assurance.
These exclusive Gold offers will be available for all PhonePe customers on May 7th and include exciting rewards like free gold chains and gold coins for lucky customers, upto Rs. 500 cashback on Gold purchases and heavy discounts on the delivery of Gold.
Gold purchased by customers on the PhonePe app, either through SafeGold or MMTC PAMP is stored in bank-grade insured locker facilities. As a special offer customers can also get the Gold delivered in tamper proof packaging directly to their doorstep at heavy discounts.
Here is how you can purchase Gold on the PhonePe app:
- Customers can log onto the app and select the ‘Gold’ option in the ‘My Money’ section.
- They will then get the option to choose between two providers – SafeGold (99.5% purity) or MMTC-PAMP (99.9% purity).
- Once the customer decides the provider, they are presented with the price per gram. Customers can buy gold both as per the grams of gold they require or as per the money they have at their disposal.
- After they have finalised the gold they want to buy, they can complete the payment securely on the PhonePe app using their preferred mode of payment – UPI, Debit card or Credit card.
- Once the payment is completed, the gold purchased starts reflecting in the customer’s Digital Locker and the physical gold is stored in a bank-grade insured locker facility run by their chosen provider SafeGold or MMTC PAMP.
