Chhattisgarh: BJP MLA Bheema Mandavi, 5 policemen killed by Maoists
Bastar, Chhattisgarh – In a major attack ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Maoists/Naxals killed Dantewada BJP MLA Bheema Mandavi and five policemen in IED explosion near Nakulnar in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh.
The campaigning in Bastar was to end today. He was going to attend his last public meeting of the day. The IED explosion was carried out as soon as his car passed the spot where the IED was placed.
Maoists in Bastar have called for boycott of Lok Sabha election and put up posters extending support to Kashmiri separatists, militants.
