Know all about new Pune–Nagpur superfast train Hamsafar Express

Pune, March 3, 2019 – In order to facilitate the passengers and provide them better services, the Ministry of Railways has decided to run a new Weekly Superfast Hamsafar Express between Pune and Nagpur.

The special Hamasafar Express train was inaugurated in a program organized in Mumbai on Sunday, in the presence of Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis flagged off via video link. A local program was also organized at the Pune station, in which the vehicle was flagged off from the Pune station and train was flagged off in the presence of Minister of State Social Justice, Dilip Kamble and MP Anil Shirole. Pune Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Milind Deouskar welcomed the guests.

Addressing the program, minister Kamble said that at this time the development work is under progress in all areas including the Railways.

MP Shirole expressed happiness at the commencement of this service and said it would be a gift for the passengers. DRM Deouskar said that this train will prove useful to the passengers.

On this occasion, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Praful Chandra, senior commercial manager Sunil Mishra, officers, employees and passengers in large number were present.

Train time table

Pune -Nagpur Weekly Superfast Hamsafar Train will start start on Thursday (March 7) and the return train Nagpur to Pune on Friday (March 8).

The train number 11417 will depart from Pune every Thursday at 22.00 and the next day it will reach Nagpur at 13.30 hrs. Train number 11418 in return every Friday from Nagpur 15.00 hrs and will reach Pune the next day at 08.05 hrs.

On both sides, the train will stop at Daund, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Bhusawal, Akola, Badnera and Wardha stations. There will be 13 AC Three Tier and 2 SLR Coaches in this train.

Their booking will begin on 04.03.2019 in all reservation offices and on the Internet.
