Dr Kalmadi Shamarao High School bags Champions Trophy at Pune Shakespeare Slam
Pune, January 24, 2019 :
Dr Kalmadi Shamarao High School (KHS-Aundh) bagged Champions Trophy at the recently held Pune Shakespeare Slam 2019 – The Battle of the Bard, an inter school drama festival.
The event was organized by EduDrama Academy, Helen O’ Grady International. Competing with ten other schools across Pune performing different plays by Shakespeare, the KHS- Aundh students performed the play ‘Macbeth’. It was a double celebration for KHS-Aundh as the lead role of Macbeth, played by U B Aniruddh, received the Best Actor Award. The entire play was directed by a student director Karishma Sharma.
Duncan Rice, Regional Manager, Helen O’Grady International EduDrama, West Bengal, judged the competition. Also the prizes were distributed to students at his hands.
