“DELHI POLICE JOB FAIR-2018”
Advisories toall candidates were sent for better preparation for interview through SMS,Emails and advisory on Delhi Police and PFWS website.
To facilitate the selection a dedicated portal was created by the Axis Bank. On this portal, the Resume of all potential candidates was uploaded and all the Corporate Companies were able to select the candidates for interviews on the basis of their qualification and experiences. 128 Corporate Entities, as Employers, participated in event. Each corporate employer set-up their separate counters for holding interviews. PFWShad also displayed their products and activities that have been undertaken recently as Welfare initiatives.
The day began at 8.45 AM in the Morning wherein Smt. Suchana Patnaik, President Police Families Welfare Society, inaugurated the fair by a formal ribbon cutting ceremony joined by Spl. CP/P&L & Welfare, Sh. Nithianandam,Jt.CP/SR, Sh. Devesh Shrivastava and other team leaders and officials of Delhi Police. This was followed by felicitation ceremony,addresses by officials of Axis Bank and Delhi Police.
President,PFWS, in her address, thanked the Delhi Police officials and Axis Bank for making this event possible. She elaborated the focus of the welfare activities so as to bring happiness amongst children and families. This was actualized through sporting machine, skilling of youth under PMKVY centers andself reliance through productivity.
The Commissioner of Police, Delhi was the Chief Guest of the function at the closing ceremony at 5 PM. A Presentation ceremony followed the entire day events. More than 3000 candidates had appeared for interview, out of which 1600 have been called for next round of interview. The Chief Guest presented Mementoes to Axis Bank Officials and 60 on the spot ‘Job Offer Letters’ to selected candidates.
In his address, the Chief Guest underscored the importance of employment opportunities amongst the youth of Police families as well as retired police personnel. due to their extremely demanding professional work and paucity of time for professional guidance to their wards, it is essential that Delhi Police always take a step forward to mitigate the challenge. He expressed appreciation for this beautiful partnership between Delhi Police and Axis Bank in this direction.
The event had been planned over a period of two months where all Delhi Police Personnel were shared an opportunity of having employers at their doorstep. Around 8200 candidates indifferent age categories registered to participate in the fair.
