MP Anil Shirole inaugurates India-srilanka International T20 Blind Cricket match in Pune

Pune, October 15, 2018 : The India-srilanka international T20 blind Cricket match was inaugurated at the hands of MP Anil Shirole today at Nehru Stadium, Pune. The match was organized by Cricket Association for the Blind of Maharashtra.

Ravi Wagh, Chairman of the association, Dilip Shelvante, Joint Secretary of the association were present among the dignitaries.

Shirole personally met the Indian team players and cheered them mentioning their outstanding achievement in the field of Blind Cricket. Uptill now, 7 players from Maharashtra have played in the Indian blind cricket team. Indian blind cricket team had won the world cup in 2014 (against Pakistan in South Africa) and in 2018 (against Pakistan in Dubai). The team has also won T20 World Cup in 2012 (against Pakistan in India) and in 2017 (against Pakistan in India).
