Puneites treated with Kathak using multimedia

Pune, September 2, 2018: Kathak dancers from Nadroop, a unique and elite dance school gave Puneites a memorable cultural experience through Kathak. The performers left the audience mesmerized by dramatic and emotional Kathak through multimedia. ‘Echoes of Inner Voice’ was organized on 31st anniversary of Nadroop at Annabhau Sathe Auditorium, Padmavati, Pune.

Taalyogi Pt.Suresh Talwalkar, renowned Bahratnatyam dancer Sucheta Chapekar, Guru Prabhatai Marathe, Guru Maneesha Sathe, Pt. Arvindkumar Azad, Pt.Satyasheel Deshpande, MLA Medhatai Kulkarni, Guru Yogini Gandhi graced the occasion with their presence.

The focus of the program was on Bhaav / Abhinaya through five relatively unexplored stories like Ravan, Nandanaar, Mason, Sati and Ahilya. Also, the transition and connection between the stories was established through a dialogue between a wise grandmother and her impulsive grand daughter on the screen. With the grandmother’s Psychologist background, she contemplates that the inner turmoil, the outburst of emotions, the conflict between right and wrong beliefs have bothered humankind through ages. It won the hearts of audience and received thunderous applause. by this was the highlight of the program.

Echoes of Inner Voice is conceptualized and choreographed by Guru Shama Bhate. The dancers of the program were Dheerendra Tiwari (Delhi), Souvik Chakraborty (Kolkata), Vishwadeep Sharma (Delhi), Ameera Patankar, Avani Gadre, Shivani Karmarkar, Bhargavi Sardesai, Isha Nanal, Krupa Tendulkar and Nikita Karale (Pune). Music is composed by Kedar Pandit, Filmed by Swapnil Kumavat, Lights by Harshwardhan Pathak, Sound by Nitin Joshi, Costumes by M.B. Nagaraj and Sheetal Oak. Posters are designed by Kundan Ruikar, Stage decoration by Ashok Sonawane. The program was anchored by Neeraja Apte.
