Mega Walk Held in Mumbai for Road Safety

Mumbai : A Mega walk was organized by NGO Drive smart Drive safe to create awareness on road deaths in Mumbai Worli Sea Face. The walk started from Opposite Worli Dairy Development Department where thousands of people including RAF commandos, students of BMC school worli, K J Somaiya college, Ruia College, Khalsha college, South India welfare school, Tata Institute of social science , We school of business , representatives from Yamaha motors & Maruti drivers training school along with other corporate & colleges joined the Grand Walk.

The Guest of Honor in the walk included Vice Chancellor SNDT women university Dr Shashikala Wangri, Registrar SNDT women university Dr Meena Kute, Mr. R W Dawa commandant 102 battalion RAF CRPF (President Gallantry medal awardee). The organizers specially thanked Joint Commissioner of Police Mumbai , Mr. Amitesh Kumar and education officer Mr. Palkar along with Mr. Sandarshan Vishal and Ms. Seema Vishal from Help guru and Samriddhiorganization who made the event possible

NGO, Drive Smart Drive Safe’s unique project titled ‘1Crore Steps for Safer Roads’a movement that starred on 28th July from Kanyakumari has now transformed into a national movement through the tremendous support from people across the country.

The Unique National Campaign of “Public Walk Donation” for safer Roads became huge success, it already Crossed 1Crore Steps in its 1st 20 Days and still counting, With such massive National support for the campaign, its organisers NGO Drive Smart Drive Safe (ClubD2S) have now set a New Goal of 125 Crore Steps public walk donations for Safer Roads with an extension campaign, #Mera Kadam Meri Suraksha.Walk donation is done on www.onecroresteps.com.

The latest data about road accidents in India is very alarming.
