Pune, July 26, 2018: Pune’s music scene is burgeoning with young talent. If you are a music fanatic than be prepared to be thrilled with diverse range of talent who have played at almost every music festival in India. Out of Ordinary brings to you ‘The Goa Collective’ that is the crème de la crème of fusion, contemporary music & best of musicians from the warm beachy sands of Goa to Pune on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at URBO at Baner at 8:00pm.

A multi-genre music festival celebrating jazz, funk, rock, psychedelic sounds in its niche avatar, The Goa Collective is keen to grow into a community of artists and enthusiasts alike. This very first event of the series will present a line-up of influential artists like Elvis Lobo, Clifford Siqueira, Joe Ferrao, Shayne Ballantyne, Sancho Menezes and MC Manmeet Kaur. Coupled with great food, drinks and conversations, the event highlights some of the best Goan musicians. Having collaborated with various local, national and international platforms, these artists are sure to stir up an enthralling evening where more music brews.

Anchored on multiple genres of music, The Goa Collective debuts with a feeling of oneness – oneness amongst the lovers of all genres of music. A mélange of pulsating music, soul-stirring live acts and a charged atmosphere, the event sets stage to make its presence felt amongst music revellers far and wide.

ELVIS LOBO – Guitar

Starting in Goa and spreading his passion the world over, Elvis Lobo known for his intense transitions and spontaneous creativity, this international artist of Big chill, Boom, Namaste, Trishula, Sonica, Windsong, Fusion fiesta, Sunburn. A lead guitarist, Elvis began playing since ’95 making the audience groove with his collaborations with Sonu Nigam & Gothika.

JOE FERRAO – Bass

Joe has been playing with several bands over the last 10 years, enabling him to adapt and play sessions with any artist. Having played in Europe and Asia the last 4 years with various bands, he’s performed and opened for big names in the industry, including Hari & Sukhmani, Kundalini Airport, Chrystal Farrell, Joanne Fernandes and many more. He has also worked closely & toured for Bollywood artist Suraj Jagan in his song ‘yeh lamha’.

CLIFFORD SIQUEIRA – Drums

Music is his way of life and drumming his conversation. Having played in Goa, with bands like Tidal Wave, he has been a part of them as the opening act for “Deep Purple” and “Enrique Iglesias”. Having performed in all major cities in India, he has extensively travelled and played in the UK, has been a part of the band ‘FlypSide’ in Dubai which played the Dubai Blues Festival in 2011. He is actively on tour with ‘The Syndicate’ and a mutual outfit with some of the best in their field, The Royal Scam. Clifford is an actor, an Rj with All India Radio, a music teacher, singer songwriter, a percussionist, a painter and all round, a funny guy.

SHAYNE BALLANTYNE

A guitarist/composer from Goa, Shayne has been playing for the last 15 years & has collaborated with different international /National at the various music festivals. He has showcased his own records at the Big chill, Harley Davidson India Bike Week, Enfield Biker Mania Vans New Wave Indie fest, Goa International Jazz Live festival, Jazz Utsav/Yatra and Counter Culture Blues Festival. Shayne has often found himself being drawn to traditional music genres like Jazz, Blues, Funk, Rock along with Electronic, Psychedelic Trance, World Music, Fusion & New Age.

MC MANMEET KAUR

India’s first female emcee, Kaur has been actively performing to expertise different musical realms of hip-hop for almost a decade and is currently based in Goa. Her style is marked both by melodic and hip-hop influences, but not bound by a singular approach – her music is idiosyncratic, emotional and versatile. Her lyrics ranging from social messages of simplistic thinking and improving co-existence to her travelogues, she has performed in remarkable venues and for exceptional occasions!
