Exhibition of rare items by ICSRI from Thursday ; Puneites to get a chance to enjoy treasure of antiques

Pune: – The International Collectors’ Society of Rare Items (ICSRI) here has organized annual exhibition of rare items. The exhibition has been organized coinciding with the 24th anniversary of the organization an International Museums Day. The exhibition will be held on 24th, 25th and 26th May 2018 and will be open for all.

Speaking on this occasion, Shashikant Dhone that ICSRI has organized 45 exhibitions on different subjects in the last 22 years in line with its motto ‘Knowledge Through Hobby’. The connaiseurs can enjoy the treasure of rare items, except coins and postage stamps, in the exhibition to be held in Balgandharsh Rangamadir Art Gallery on 24, 25 and 26 May 2018 free of cost. The exhibition which is open to all will be inaugurated on Friday 24th May at 10.00 am

It will be open to all without any charge from 10 am to 7 pm from Thursday 24th May to Saturday 26th May.

On this occasion, the connoisseur Puneites will get an opportunity to see various rare items such as hats, cadets, statues, autographs, puzzle collectives and beautiful artifacts. The collectors of antiques from other parts of the state besides Pune will present their possessions in this exhibition.

The society is continues to encourage the new generation to preserve the historical and cultural heritage by having collections through hobby and studying it and gaining knowledge. The ICSRI is organizing exhibition of currency (coins and paper currency) and exhibition of postage stamps in the month of December every year since 2000. Also exhibition of other rare items except coins and postal stamps is organized in the month of May or during Ganeshotsav in Balgandharva Kaladan. These exhibitions are kept open for everyone with the intention of spreading the hobby of collecting rare coins, postage, tickets and rare items to all. Two members of the society found their place in the Guinness Book of Records while 43 members have secured place in Limca Book of Records. This is the only example of so many members of the same organization being recognized at the global level simultaneously.
