Day 1 – Friday, March 2nd, 7 pm
On the first day the special premiere of ‘Shrimant Yogi’, which is created by the concept of Vaibhav Aarekar, will be presented at the Balgandharva Rangamandir on the Jangli Maharaj Road.

‘Shrimant Yogi’, a Bharatanatyam endeavour, attempts to capture a few impressions of a phenomenon that is – Shivaji Maharaj. The premise of the performance is the cultural, social and emotional state of the society and Shivaji Maharaj himself. The entire performance is from the chronological life and history of Shivaji Maharaj. It is more of an impressionistic dance expression. This is an inspiring tale of sacrifices, of war and conflict, of establishing Swarajya and of dharma. This is a story of a true Karmayogi- Shivaji Maharaj.

On the second day of the festival Praveen Kumar’s ‘Margam’ will begin the evening at Sindhu Mahotsava. The traditional Bharatnatyam performance will be followed by a traditional Kathak performance.
